Empire Pumps Magnetic Coupled Pump technology leads the market offering a Sealless Magnetic Coupled Pump which is capable of self priming. The pump design features a gooseneck suction body which creates a solution reservoir for the pump to achieve a suction lift. This enables the pump to re prime each time the pump is energised.

Magnetic Coupled Pumps are unique due to no mechanical seals being used to give the closed solution containment. The pump is operated by a synchronisation of magnetic forces from a drive magnet, connected to an electric motor and the pump impeller positioned inside the pump.

The advantage of the Self Priming Magnetic Coupled Pump is the ability to transfer solutions containing aggressive chemicals from sumps and pits. Generally single mechanical seal pumps are used for these types of applications. However, a single seal pump will have a limited life due to
chemical crystallisation on the seal faces.

Our EPMSP range offers flow rates from 200 to 700 l/min and can overcome discharge pressure up to 2.5 bar. The pump will achieve suction lifts up to 4.5m making it ideal for operation on chemical plants, pharmaceutical facilities and many other industries using aggressive chemistries.
